Telephone Interviewers / Data Entry Personnel on the Fayetteville Campus:

The Survey Research Center (SRC) is currently taking applications for Telephone Interviewers / Data Entry Personnel positions in order to conduct important polls and other survey research. The SRC is a research unit of the University that serves faculty and administration by helping them conduct quality survey projects.

The Center does not make sales calls or conduct telemarketing.

The SRC looks for highly motivated, pleasant, and dedicated individuals to become part of our survey team. We offer flexible hours, good compensation, an excellent learning opportunity, and a professional, but friendly and relaxed work environment. We accept applications from university students as well as non-university community members.

Required Abilities and Skills: Ability to easily read text aloud from a computer screen; ability to speak and understand standard English fluently; ability to speak quickly, yet clearly; ability to hear normal conversation over a telephone line; adequate vision for extended periods of computer usage. Good oral and written skills; must be able to fill out minimal paperwork, such as time cards and trouble log sheets; good spelling skills; familiarity with computer keyboarding. Evening, Saturday, and/or Sunday hours may be required.

Preferred: Social science majors or those interested in learning about complex social issues; individuals with prior call center experience; individuals with experience in customer service and/or customer care; students eligible for work-study. Spanish speaking a plus.

The Center offers a starting pay rate of $6.25 to $8.00 per hour. We are currently looking for Spanish-speaking Temporary Part-time Interviewers / Data Entry Personnel, but will review all applications.

Phone inquiries will be accepted Tuesday through Friday at 575-4222. Interviewing, selection and hiring of applicants is an ongoing process.
